A door 2 includes a door securing mechanism 6 which includes plural securing members 14 which are selectively translatable inwardly and outwardly so as to project from a perimeter 24 of the door to secure the door in a closed position relative to a surrounding frame 4; an actuation mechanism including a camming means 50 with plural camming slots 68, each securing member being operatively connected to one of the camming slots. Displacement of the camming means in a first direction F translates each securing member outwardly with respect to the perimeter and displacement in an opposite second direction translates each securing member inwardly with respect to the perimeter. Each securing member may sequentially engage first and second portions of a respective camming slot as the securing member is displaced outwardly. These portions may be configured such that, for a given displacement in the first or second direction of the camming means, each securing member is translated further when it is operatively engaged with the first part of the camming slot than when it is operatively engaged with the second part of the camming slot.
