Converting a commercial passenger jet aircraft into a rocket powered aircraft involves replacing the wings of the passenger aircraft with wings 300 having rocket engines 311 attached. Oxygen tanks 312 are also attached to the wings and fuel tanks 307 are present in the body of the aircraft. A computer-controlled gimbal system is used to adjust the angle of thrust of the rocket engine, fig 5.
