A disposable orbital shaker cell culture flask includes a vessel body, cap/s and a locking mechanism. The vessel body is conical, or urn-shaped and includes access ports and a cap/s for preventing bacteria, viruses and fungi from passing therethrough while allowing air to flow between the vessel chamber and a surrounding environment. The flask has a locking mechanism that may be integral to the top and bottom part of vessel body or split between the bottom part of vessel body and the top part of the cap depending on the desired configuration. The action of top and bottom part locking results in a stable stack of vessels for use in orbital shaker environments.
