A clamping system for mounting a Photovoltaic solar collector module to a trapezoidal insulating roof panel includes a pair of non-identical rails 4,5 for mounting on opposite longitudinal sides of the PV module, each rail having an aperture, a pair of brackets 6,7 for engaging respective rails and attaching to the panel in use, each bracket comprising a mounting plate and a rail engaging head extending from the mounting plate, the head suitable for engaging the respective apertures of each respective rail of the pair of rails. The rails may be S shaped in cross section, with opposing longitudinal channels, an upper channel for receiving an edge of the module and a lower channel for received the head of a bracket. The mounting plate of the bracket may be shaped to engage a trapezoidal shoulder of a roofing panel. Also claimed is a panel with attached PV system. The system may be assembled before shipping, ensuring proper installation of PVs, minimising user human error on site. Trapezoidal crowns extend above the height of the PV minimising damage risk during transportation and storage.
