A self-locking door cylinder having a lock shell 1 with an outer detent 6 and an inner detent 7 which link an outer rotor 3 to a cam 2. The inner detent has a transverse pin hole and a first longitudinal hole and the outer detent has a second longitudinal hole which are aligned. A pin member 9 is arranged on the outer rotor and enters the transverse pin hole to support the first limit member, so that the outer detent and inner detent are linked by a first limit member 8 in the longitudinal holes. When the lock shell is damaged or destroyed and the outer rotor and pin member are removed, the first limit member is unsupported by the plug portion and completely enters the first longitudinal hole. As the two detents are not linked, the inner detent idly rotates, and the outer detent cannot be driven. A spring may urge the first link member towards the inner detent. The linkage between the cam and the outer or inner rotor 4, can be switched by a key so if the door cylinder is broken, the inner half of the door cylinder remains functional.
