A method of operating an Access Point (AP) in a cellular telecommunications network comprises the steps of: receiving an inter-AP message in a first wireless communication from a first neighbouring AP, the inter-AP message comprising a destination identifier; identifying a second neighbouring AP based on the destination identifier of the inter-AP message; and routing the inter-AP message to the second neighbouring AP in a second wireless communication. The AP may discover neighbouring APs identify neighbours of that AP. The AP maintains and updates a routing table associating neighbouring APs of neighbouring APs. Th APs may form an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network of nodes in a multi-hop relay architecture.
