A lock mechanism for an infant/child carrier comprising a first, moveable lock feature 6 for cooperation with a corresponding second lock feature 5. The first lock feature is arranged for movement between a locked position in which it is engaged with the second corresponding lock feature and an unlocked position in which it is disengaged from the second lock feature. Biasing means 12 biases the first lock feature towards the locked position; and the lock mechanism includes a damper 26, so as to delay movement from the unlocked position to the locked position. The invention may be used to secure the child carrier to the frame of stroller. The biasing means may include a spring, and the damper may be a rotary damper or have gear teeth. Additionally, the mechanism may comprise a lever 11 for unlocking the mechanism. Finally invention may relates to a kit of parts.
