A vehicle 100 comprises a docking port 20 and a selectively demountable switch 10 having a body and an interface, in the form of a physical coupling between plug 16 and a socket, between switch 10 and docking port 20 to enable commands entered via switch 10 to be communicated to vehicle 100. Most preferably docking port 20 comprises a cup holder. Switch 10 and docking port 20 are arranged so that interengagement between the plug and socket is effected by a docking operation comprising a two-part movement including an insertion step and an engagement step; preferably insertion precedes engagement. During the insertion step, switch 10 is moved into a docking position and during the engagement step, an element of switch 10 or port 20 is actuated to mutually engage said plug and socket. A magnetic connection may also be provided between plug 16 and the socket to correct misalignment after insertion.
