A golf swing training aid comprises a base or platform 11 that supports an adjustable arm 9 and a circular ring 12 that acts as a viewfinder. In use, the golfer aims to keep sight 8 of the golf ball through the viewfinder during the drive swing. The objective is to reduce undesirable movement (such as sway) by the golfer when performing a golf swing. The arm might be a three-piece hinged armature arrangement. The arm can be rotated or swivelled on the platform to best suit the golfers posture, size and the golf club being used. The device can be affixed to the ground by the use of golf tees through predrilled holes on the self-supporting platform. The device can be disassembled to fit inside a standard golf club bag.
