The invention relates to a method for processing images captured by a lens (OPT) on board an aircraft (1), said aircraft (1) including at least one engine (M) each of which includes at least one propeller (11), said method including: a step of calculating the angular position of the blade, comprising a step of determining a first zone (Zo) of the captured image in which the distinctive marking (M0) of the propeller (11) is likely to appear, a step of detecting the position (ML) of the distinctive marking (M0) in the first zone (Zo) of the captured image, and a step of determining a first angle (Øh) corresponding to the angle of the propeller (11) in the frame of reference of the aeroplane; and a second step of adjusting the engine speed by means of a controller (22) in order to modify the value of the first angle (Øh) so as to move the track of the propeller (11) in the captured image towards a second position defined by a new direction of the propeller (Øo).
