The module (3) has an input (5) to receive an electrical supply, and an output (6) to transmit the electrical supply to an electrical block (2) i.e. gas-discharge lamp ballast. A capacitor (7) is electrically charged when the electrical supply is received on the input of the module and is discharged towards the output from the module in the event of drop of electrical supply so as to feed the electrical block. A set of electronic components (8) e.g. series-connected resistor, is arranged so as to decrease the electric current flowing through the capacitor when the capacitor is charging. The electrical block is a luminous block comprising LED. An independent claim is also included for a luminous system.
