The device has two parallel winding cylinders, and a longitudinal link element-forming winding unit such as flexible blades, that is utilized for maintaining a predetermined distance between the winding cylinders. One of two flexible tracks (32) is fixed to each winding cylinder. The tracks are arranged so as to face each other and having a point of contact. A prestressing force is applied to the point of contact under the effect of winding unit. One track comprises a slot (323) produced over a part of its length. The slot delimits a set of flexible beam sections (325) of determined profiles. The beam sections have one of a rectangular, round, oval, trapezoidal, square or rhombus form. An independent claim is also included for a satellite deploying system.
