The method involves fixing an electromechanical brake (2) to a braked wheel (1) of an aircraft, where the brake includes friction elements (3) and electromechanical actuators (4). Each actuator is provided with a pusher (5) for being moved by an electric motor (6) to selectively apply pressing force on the friction elements. Total braking force to be applied against the friction elements of the brake is distributed in non-uniform manner among the actuators of the brake for braking operation such that the actuators apply different forces.
