The storage has a set of electric energy storage cells i.e. front cells (1a-1e), and a flange e.g. front flange (6) or rear flange (7) comprising a set of holding elements (13), where each element cooperates with one of the cells for holding the cell in a fixed position relative to other cells. Each cell is separated from other cells by a space at a distance greater than determined threshold. Conductive elements electrically connect each electric pole of one of the cells to a positive terminal (15a) or a negative terminal (15e) and/or to an electric pole of the latter cell. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing electric energy storage of vehicle.
