An indication system (44) for a hybrid aircraft power plant (12) including an electric motor (20) and a heat engine (18) for driving an air mover (16) configured to propel an aircraft (10) is provided. The indication system (44) includes a display (36) providing a display area (46) and a computer (32) operatively connected to the display (36). The computer (32) is configured to cause a first visual indication (58; 158; 258; 258) to be generated in the display area (46) of the display (36). The first visual indication (58; 158; 258; 258) indicates a current amount of energy stored in a battery (30) powering the electric motor (20) of the hybrid aircraft power plant (12) along a scale (62; 162; 262; 362). The computer (32) is configured to cause a second visual indication (60; 160; 260; 360) to be generated in the same display area (46) of the display (46). The second visual indication (60; 160; 260; 360) indicates a remaining run time for the electric motor (20) based on the current amount of energy stored in the battery (30).
