Location data (120) is also received (706) for target traffic (202). Based on the location sensor data (110) for the aircraft (224), a location (126), a speed (128), and a direction of travel (130) are determined for the aircraft (224). A location (134), a speed (136), and a direction of travel (138) are determined for the target traffic (202) based on the location data (120) for the target traffic (202). The method (700) further comprises determining (718) that the aircraft (224) is on a runway (212, 222), and determining that the aircraft (224) is an ownship. The method (700) further comprises determining that the target traffic (202) meets one or more target traffic alert criteria (140). An inbound traffic alert (146) is output (734) based upon determining that the aircraft (224) is on the runway (212, 222), the aircraft (224) is the ownship, and the target traffic (202) meets the one or more target traffic alert criteria (140).
