The present invention is a two-wheeled vehicle tire for running on rough terrain having a tread portion (2). The tread portion (2) includes a first tread edge (T1), a second tread edge (T2), a tread development width (TWe), a tire equator (C), a crown region (6), and side regions (7). The tread portion (2) includes a plurality of crown blocks (10) and a plurality of outer blocks (20). Each of the outer blocks (20) has a ground contacting surface (30s, 40s) at least provided with a narrow groove (15) or configured as a stepped surface (25) including a base surface (26) and a protruding surface (27) locally protruding outward in a block height direction with respect to the base surface (26). Each of the crown blocks (10) has a ground contacting surface (10s) provided with the narrow groove (15) and configured as a non-step surface (28) without the protruding surface (27).
