A tank (101, 201, 301, 401, 501, 601, 701) for hydrogen for a hydrogen powered vehicle, wherein the tank comprises: a hydrogen container (12), a balloon (5) arranged inside the hydrogen container, wherein the balloon divides an internal volume of the hydrogen container into a hydrogen volume (11) and a balloon volume (14), wherein the hydrogen container is configured to receive hydrogen in the hydrogen volume; the balloon is configured to expandable between a first volume and a second volume, wherein the first volume is smaller than the second volume, wherein the balloon is configured to be at the first volume after the hydrogen container is filled with hydrogen at a filling pressure; expands towards the second volume when hydrogen is emptied out of the hydrogen volume, thereby reducing the hydrogen volume.
