A computer-implemented method comprises receiving (40) a first status message (30.1) from a first on-board unit (18.1) of a first vehicle, the first status message (30.1) indicating a charging status of an ongoing operation of charging the first vehicle. A server system (20) determines (44) a predicted time when charging a second vehicle instead of the first vehicle would be preferable. At least one of a first instruction message (32.1) and a second instruction message (32.2) is/are transmitted (46, 48), wherein the first instruction message (32.1) indicates that the ongoing operation of charging the first vehicle is to be stopped at the predicted time and the second instruction message (32.2) indicates that a new operation of charging the second vehicle is to be commenced at the predicted time. A machine-readable medium and a system comprise corresponding features.
