A hydrogen supply assembly (62) for an aircraft propulsion system (20) includes a storage housing (64), a hydrogen supply component (72), and a leak detection system (66). The storage housing (64) surrounds and forms a storage plenum (68). The hydrogen supply component (72) is disposed within the storage housing (64) coincident with the storage plenum (68). The leak detection system (66) includes an interior pressure sensor (78), an exterior pressure sensor (80), and a controller (82). The interior pressure sensor (78) is connected in fluid communication with the storage plenum (68). The exterior pressure sensor (80) is connected in fluid communication with an ambient atmosphere (70) outside the storage housing (64). The controller (82) is configured to determine a differential pressure between the storage plenum (68) and the ambient atmosphere (70) with the interior pressure sensor (78) and the exterior pressure sensor (80) and identify a presence or an absence of hydrogen leakage from the hydrogen supply component (72) to the storage plenum (68) by comparing the determined differential pressure to a first differential pressure threshold.
