A device 10 is provided for connecting to a load to be moved, and includes a main body 12 having a connection formation for engaging with a corresponding formation on a load moving apparatus (200 fig 16). The device includes a connection assembly 14 for connecting the main body to a part (100 fig 1) of the load to be moved. The assembly 14 includes a) first and second members (30a,b fig 3) for engaging with respective portions of the load part (100), b) an adjustment member 20a for adjustably connecting the first engagement member (30a) relative to the main body 12, and typically c) a further adjustment member 20b connecting the second engagement member (30b) to the main body 12 and providing for its positional adjustment relative to the main body 12. The engagement members (30a,b) may be connected to each other by means allowing for relative positional adjustment. The invention can avoid a need for a load to include a part of a connection device and can be useful in moving boxes of differing sizes for example.
