A photoelectric conversion element (10) comprises: a photoelectric conversion layer (26); an electrode layer (24) adjacent to the photoelectric conversion layer (26); and a collecting electrode (30) adjacent to the electrode layer (24). The collecting electrode (30) has a line-like first portion (31). Where L is a length of the first portion (31), W is a width of the first portion (31), and D is a thickness of the first portion (31), "D × L/W" is less than 2.5 × 103 µm.
