The present disclosure relates to an unmanned aerial vehicle comprising a plurality of vehicle actuators, a control system including a processor and a memory, and a physical user interface connected to the control system. The control system is configured to store flight plan instructions in the memory. Further, the flight plan instructions, when executed by the processor, cause control signals to be sent to the vehicle actuators to carry out a flight plan. Additionally, the physical user interphase comprises a control unit, and the activation of the control element by a user causes the processor to execute at least a portion of the flight plan instructions corresponding to at least a segment of the flight plan. The present disclosure further relates to methods for operating unmanned aerial vehicles.
