A traction power supply system for rail transit, a control method therefor, and related components. The traction power supply system for rail transit comprises a high-voltage AC power supply bus, multiple bidirectional converters, a DC power supply bus used to supply power to a train, and multiple station equipment sets. One end of each of the bidirectional converters is connected to the high-voltage AC power supply bus, and the other end thereof is connected to the DC power supply bus. Each of the station equipment sets is connected to the high-voltage AC power supply bus. The present application uses the bidirectional converters to connect the DC power supply bus and the AC power supply bus, so as to perform flexible power distribution with respect to the magnitude and direction of power output on the DC power supply bus and the AC power supply bus, thereby achieving active control to reduce possible network voltage fluctuations. In addition, voltage conversion, braking feedback, harmonic control, and reactive power compensation are achieved to improve the energy recovery efficiency of regenerative braking and the efficiency of traction power supply, thereby enabling the entire power supply and distribution network to operate in a green, controllable, safe, highly efficient and intelligent manner.
