[Problem] To provide a camera inspection system that can automatically and easily determine the necessity of calibration of a camera mounted on a railway vehicle.[Solution] A camera inspection system according to the present embodiment includes an image capturing portion that is mounted on a railway vehicle and captures images of a sign provided around a railway track on which the railway vehicle drives at first and second viewpoints. An arithmetic processor obtains a disparity between a first image of the sign at the first viewpoint and a second image of the sign at the second viewpoint. The arithmetic processor calculates a first distance between the railway vehicle and the sign based on the disparity between the first image and the second image. The arithmetic processor calculates a second distance between the railway vehicle and the sign based on known attribute information related to the size and/or the position of the sign and the length of the attribute information on the first or second image. The arithmetic processor determines whether a difference between the first distance and the second distance is larger than a threshold. A memory stores therein the attribute information.
