The invention relates to a method for evacuating passengers from a vehicle (FZ), in particular a rail-guided vehicle, in which evacuation-related information generated by a control and safety system (LSS) for the vehicle (FZ) is transmitted or exchanged by means of a communication device (CD1, CD2). According to the invention, the communication device (CD1, CD2) is designed as a portable communication device which uses the energy source of the device itself in order to transmit information and which establishes a communication connection to the control and security system (LSS) via a first wireless interface in order to transmit information, the communication connection using a communication infrastructure, the communication infrastructure is also used for communication between the vehicle (FZ) and a control and safety system (LSS). The invention further relates to a communication device (CD1, CD2), a vehicle (FZ), a computer program product and a supply device for a computer program product.
