An aircraft anti-collision light (2) comprises a first group of light sources (12) arranged in a first annular configuration around an axis (A); a second group of light sources (14) arranged in a second annular configuration, wherein the first group of light sources (12) is surrounded by the second group of light sources (14); a first lens structure (16), which is configured for generating a first light output (20) from light emitted by the first group of light sources (12); a second lens structure (18), which is configured for generating a second light output (22) from light emitted by the second group of light sources (14); and a light transmissive cover (10), which is arranged over the first lens structure (16) and the second lens structure (18) and which passes the first light output (20) and the second light output (22) for emitting a total light output (24). The total light output (24) has its peak light intensity (I100) in an angular range of between 80° and 90° with respect to the axis (A).
