A glass substrate unit according to the present invention has: a glass substrate provided with a thin plate section and a thick plate section; and a glass deformation apparatus for deforming the glass substrate. The thin plate section has a first main surface and a second main surface facing the first main surface. The thick plate section has a plate thickness greater than the plate thickness of the thin plate section, and has a first main surface and a second main surface facing the first main surface. The glass deformation apparatus deforms the glass substrate by moving one among the thin plate section and the thick plate section.
