The assembly (1) comprises a cradle (10) of the type having horns (11D, 11G) and two cradle tie rods (12D, 12G), the cradle comprising two rear elastic fastening points (100D) for fastening to a lower portion of a vehicle body structure, and two front elastic fastening points (A) for fastening to a longitudinal side member (13) of the body structure, the two front elastic fastening points being provided by the horns, and two cradle tie rods providing two additional mechanical fastenings between a front portion (14D, 14G) of the cradle and the longitudinal side member so as to limit a vertical collapse of the cradle in the event of an impact. According to the invention, the two cradle tie rods each comprise at least one elastic articulation at fastening ends (12bD, 12hD).
