According to an embodiment of the invention, a structural health monitoring system (1) includes an ultrasonic transducer (5), an ultrasonic sensor (6), a strain sensor (8) and a signal processing part (4). The ultrasonic transducer (5) oscillates an ultrasonic wave to the first inspection area (I1). The ultrasonic sensor (6) detects a waveform of at least one of a transmission wave of the ultrasonic wave and a reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave. The transmission wave has been transmitted through the first inspection area (I1). The reflected wave has been reflected in the first inspection area (I1). The strain sensor (8) detects a strain amount of the second inspection area (I2). The signal processing part (4) obtains at least one index, representing health of the structural object (O) including the first inspection area (I1) and the second inspection area (I2), based on the waveform detected by the ultrasonic sensor (6) and the strain amount detected by the strain sensor (8).
