Segmented shields (40, Fig. 7) are disclosed comprising material combinations (12, 13, 14) and rolled configurations to impede and mitigate through-and-through penetration damage of a structure (100, Fig. 8) incorporating the segmented shields (40, Fig.7) from the damage resulting from the impact of high-velocity micro-meteoroids and orbital debris particulate.
