A division line recognition apparatus includes: a travel amount estimation unit that estimates a travel amount of a vehicle; a division line position estimation unit that estimates positions of white line candidates from each of images captured by a plurality of cameras: a division line candidate selection unit that selects at least one of the plurality of white line candidates on the basis of the travel amount of the vehicle and changes in the positions of the white line candidates; a division line position decision unit that decides a position of a division line at present from the selected white line candidate(s); and a reference position setting unit that sets a reference position for the division line on the basis of the travel amount of the vehicle and the position of the division line decided before the passage of time, wherein the division line position decision unit decides the white line candidate which is closest to the reference position, which is set by the reference position setting unit, as the position of the division line at present.
