The present invention relates to a device (1) for transporting a child, such as a pram or buggy. More in particular, the present invention relates to a device for transporting a child that can be collapsed into a compact unit. According to the invention, the lower frame (10) of the device comprises a first lower frame part (11), to which a front wheel (61) is mounted, and a second lower frame part (12), to which a rear wheel (60) is mounted, wherein the first and second lower frame parts (11,12) are hingedly connected to each other, wherein a pusher (30) of the device comprises a first pusher part and a second pusher part that are hingedly connected to each other, and wherein, in the collapsed position, the second lower frame part (12) has been pivoted away from the pusher (30) and towards the front wheel (61) and the second pusher part has been pivoted towards the lower frame (10) such that it lies adjacent to the second lower frame part (12).
