A wireless power transfer arrangement (100) for an elevator (1000), an elevator (1000), and a method for transferring power wirelessly in an elevator (1000) are presented in this document. The arrangement (100) comprises at least one first unit (10) comprising a first winding (11), a first alignment unit (13) and a first base (18). The arrangement (100) further comprises at least one second unit (20) comprising a second winding (21), a second alignment unit (23), and a second base (28). One of the at least one first unit (10) and the at least one second unit (20) is adapted for arranging to an elevator shaft (1) and the other to a movable unit (2) of the elevator (1000). Still further, the first alignment unit (13) and the second alignment unit (23) are configured to be utilized for indicating when the first winding (11) and the second winding (21) are aligned with respect to each other for transferring power wirelessly therebetween.
