The present invention relates to a hoist structure (1) and to a method for lifting a truss (2) with the aid of said hoist structure (1), which can be suspended from a crane, using a suspension gear (3), the suspension point (1') of the suspension gear (3) being situated above the centre of the truss (2), the truss (2) having two parallel upper main beams and two parallel lower main beams therebelow, with transverse bars connecting the two lower main beams and transverse bars connecting the two upper main beams, and the upper and lower main beams being connected to each other by a framework, the hoist structure (1) comprising four rod-type supporting structures (4), characterised in that each of the rod-type supporting structures (4) comprises a lower retainer (5), an upper retainer (6), and a connection (4') between the retainers, with each lower retainer (5) being mounted on a hoist face, with two hoist faces being spaced apart on the underside of one of the parallel lower main beams, and two hoist faces being spaced apart on the underside of the other parallel main beam, the hoist faces forming a rectangle, with holes being provided in the hoist faces, each upper retainer (6) and its corresponding lower retainer (5) being connected by means of a rod (4') which is pushed through the associated hole, the suspension gear (3) being linked to the upper retainers (6), and the cables of the suspension gear (3) forming, together with the extension of the rods (4'), approximately a straight, rectangular pyramid from the hoist face towards the suspension point (1'), the suspension point (1') forming the tip of the pyramid and the hoist faces forming the corners of the base of the pyramid.
