This wireless communication system is provided with a shield chamber forming part, a leakage waveguide, a first antenna, a first device, a second antenna, and a second device. In the shield chamber forming part, an internal space serving as a shield chamber is covered with an electromagnetic wave reflector that blocks wireless communications. The leakage waveguide is provided with a first leakage portion and a second leakage portion that are disposed inside the shield chamber forming part. The first antenna is disposed inside the shield chamber forming part and configured to be capable of wireless communication with the first leakage portion. The first device is disposed inside the shield chamber forming part and has the first antenna. The second antenna is disposed inside the shield chamber forming part and configured to be capable of wireless communication with the second leakage portion. The second device is disposed inside the shield chamber forming part and has the second antenna. The first device and the second device perform direct two-way wireless communications between each other and via the leakage waveguide.
