The present invention provides a seat belt (104) for an occupant (101) of a vehicle (100), with a seat belt webbing (110) having a vibration-enhancing haptic channel (115) that is disposed in between the first and second top surfaces (113, 114). An electrically insulated substrate (116), which is defined by power lines and communication lines, is disposed inside the vibration-enhancing haptic channel (115). Unobtrusive and wear-resistant haptic actuators (120) are connected to the electrically insulated substrate (116) and disposed to be in haptic communication with inner portions of the first or second top surface (113, 114) of the seat belt webbing, through the vibration- enhancing haptic channel.
