A brake cylinder device is provided that can prevent an unintentional release of a braking force of a spring brake means due to disengagement of meshing portions of a clutch mechanism. A brake cylinder device (2) includes a service brake means (110) including a first piston (24), a spring brake means (12) including a second piston (27), a spindle (15). The spindle (15) is connected to the first piston (24) so as to be rotatable about an axial direction. A clutch mechanism (47) including a nut member (53) that is screwed to and supported rotatably on the spindle (15) and that is supported so as to be movable in an anti-braking direction that is an opposite direction to the braking direction, and a sleeve member (54) that is disposed in the anti-braking direction with respect to the nut member (53) and that opposes the nut member (53) around the spindle (15). The clutch mechanism (47) establishes a connecting state between the spindle (15) and the second piston (27) by meshing the sleeve member (54) with the nut member (53).
