In a worm reducer (16), an urging member (22) includes an urging shaft portion (40) and an elastic pressing portion (41). The urging shaft portion (40) is rotatably disposed inside a housing (9) in a state in which a rotation center axis (O40) thereof is directed substantially parallel to a center axis of the worm wheel. The elastic pressing portion (41) formed of an elastic material is externally fitted and fixed to a part of the urging shaft portion (40) in an axial direction in an eccentric state with respect to the rotation center axis (O40) of the urging shaft portion (40). By rotating the urging shaft portion (40), an outer peripheral surface of the elastic pressing portion (41) is pressed against an outer peripheral surface of a second bearing (20) externally fitted to a worm shaft (17). Accordingly, the present invention realizes a structure of the worm reducer capable of suppressing a backlash while preventing an increase in size of the housing.
