The disclosure relates to an aircraft (110) having an electric propulsion system comprising a motor (156) coupled to a rotor (152) and a controller (36) connected to the electric propulsion system to monitor a rate of temperature change of the motor (156), to determine an estimated time available before the temperature will reach a high-temperature limit, and to communicate the estimated time available.
