An example aircraft (100) includes a landing gear (102) having a chassis (202), an axle (208), and wheels (216A, 216B) mounted to ends of the axle (208); a partitioned hydraulic actuator (218) including a cylinder (500), a first piston (508) coupled to the chassis (202), and a second piston (522) coupled to the axle (208); and a directional control valve (630) including: inlet ports (P1, P2) configured to be fluidly coupled to a source (602) of pressurized fluid, tank ports (T1, T2) configured to be fluidly coupled to a tank (606), and workports (A, B, C, D) configured to be fluidly coupled to the partitioned hydraulic actuator (218).
