The invention relates to a fibre composite component for a vehicle, wherein the fibre composite component is thin-walled and is produced on the basis of a synthetic resin to which a flame-resistant additive is added, wherein the fibre composite component has an epoxy resin layer, in which a plurality of glass fibre mats are embedded which are arranged one above the other in a stack-like manner in the thickness direction of the epoxy resin layer, and the flame-resistant additive is formed by a prepolymer containing phosphorus, which is chemically reactive with the epoxy resin. A method for producing a fibre composite component is also proposed.
