The invention relates to a system and a method of wireless communication for emergency in an elevator system. The wireless communication system comprises the user interface module providing a user interface for a passenger in the elevator car; a first wireless communication module configured to make a first wireless connection with a communication device through a first wireless communication network; a second wireless communication module configured to make a second wireless connection with the communication device through a second wireless communication network; and a control module configured to control the first and second wireless communication modules to set up the first wireless connection and/or the second wireless connection, upon receiving the passenger's input through the user interface module.
