The linkage mechanism includes a suspension element (340, 342) configured to dampen energy transferred between the rotary cutter (120) and the work vehicle (110), a primary linkage mechanism (210, 212) extending from the rotary cutter (120), and a secondary linkage mechanism (282, 284) extending between the primary linkage mechanism (210, 212) and the coupler (132). The secondary linkage mechanism (282, 284) is configured to rotate about the primary linkage mechanism (210, 212) while maintaining the coupler (132) in a level condition.
