The invention concerns a system (10, 30, 50) for attaching a coolant bottle (2) in the top position under the bonnet (3) of a vehicle, comprising at least one fixing bracket device (17, 18) linking the bottle (2) to a fixed structural element (13) of said vehicle. The main feature of an attachment system according to the invention is that the fixing bracket device (17, 18) is capable of being structurally transformed under the effect of a pedestrian impact, allowing the bottle (2) to move without forming an abutment endangering the pedestrian.
