The invention concerns a utility vehicle (2) comprising a front portion (4) with a cab (6); a rear loading portion (8); a floor (10) and two lateral side-members (12), the two side-members (12) each being on a different side of the floor, said floor and said side-members extending in a longitudinal direction along the front and rear portions (4; 8). The vehicle (2) further comprises members (16) for reinforcing the floor (10) and the side-members (12) in the event of a side impact, said members (16) being arranged transversely under a portion (18) of the floor located astride the front and rear portions (4;8), the dimensions of said members (16) being such that they have greater resistance to deformation, in the event of a side impact, on the front portion (4) than on the rear portion (8).
