The present invention provides a method to significantly reduce the amount of water that the ship has to displace in order to move forward. This can be achieved by continuously sucking in very large volumes of water from the high pressure zone immediately ahead of the ship's bow and transferring it to the low pressure zone behind the ship's stern. The result will be much reduced formation of bow waves, less hull turbulence, less formation of vortices, all of which means less energy-sapping drag. There will also be increased propeller efficiency. All the above will together result in considerable fuel savings.
