A spoke (4) for wheel comprises a central part (5) located between two fixing ends. The cross-section (S) of the central part (5) is basically elliptical with a shape having: a maximum length (A) measured in a first plane (P1) between the trailing edge (51) and a leading edge (52) of the spoke (4), which is strictly greater than the maximum width (B) of the cross-section (S) of the central part (5) measured in a second plane (P2) perpendicular to the first plane (P1). The middle widths (L1, L2) of the cross-section (S) of the central part (5) is 0.25mm, which is defined to be parallel to the second plane (P2) and located in a middle plane (P4, P5) parallel to the second plane (P2). Furthermore, relative to the second plane (P2) at the trailing edge (51) or leading edge (52) side, a distance (D1, D2) measured between the planes (P4, P5) and the trailing edge (51) or the leading edge (52) respectively is greater than or equal to 10% of the maximum length (A) of the cross-section (S).
