Motorcycle tyre (100), comprising: - a carcass structure comprising at least two carcass plies radially superimposed, comprising a plurality of reinforcing elements parallel to one another and being mutually crossed; - a tread band (8) radially superimposed to the carcass plies, comprising a plurality of grooves (18,19,27) and presenting a void/solid ratio > 4%; - the first and the second grooves of a first and a second couple being arranged so as to form a central annular portion (s) across the equatorial plane presenting a void/solid ratio < 0,1%; - the first couple of first grooves (18) being arranged circumferentially alternated to the second couple of the second grooves (19); - the first (18) and the second grooves (19) extend axially away from the equatorial plane over at least 20% of the width L of the tread band (8); - at least a first segment (20,23) of each first (18) or second (19) grooves being arranged along a direction substantially corresponding to the direction of a reinforcing element of one of the first and second carcass ply.
