A helicopter (100) includes a propulsion system (110), gimbal assembly (160), and a controller (182). The propulsion system (110) includes a first rotor assembly (115a) and a second rotor assembly (115b). The first rotor assembly (115a) comprises a first motor (120a) coupled to a first rotor (130a) and the second rotor assembly (115b) comprises a second motor (120b) coupled to a second rotor (130b). The second rotor (130b) is coaxial to the first rotor (130a) and is configured to be counter-rotating to the first rotor (130a). The gimbal assembly (160) couples a fuselage (180) of the helicopter (100) to the propulsion system (110). The controller (182) is communicably coupled to the gimbal assembly (160) and is configured to provide instructions to the gimbal assembly (160) in order to weight-shift the fuselage (180) of the helicopter (100), thereby controlling movements of the helicopter (100).
